The present study will emphasize in Diabetic Ketoacidosis (will be
mentioned as “DKA” in this study), acute complication of Diabetes Mellitus
(will be mentioned as “DM” in the present study, “T1DM” for type 1 diabetes
mellitus, and “T2DM” for type 2 diabetes mellitus). All aspects of this illness
will be described and discussed in the present study. The sample for this
study will be based on several patients that present to the Emergency
Department (will be mentioned as “ED” in the present study) of Thames
Hospital, New Zealand, and are diagnosed with DKA.
