Dr R. Ramya

Dr. R. Ramya, currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Sri C. Achutha Menon Government College, Thrissur. She took her P.G. in Development Economics with II Rank from the Department of Economics, Dr. John Mathai Centre, Calicut University and Ph D in Gender Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. She is awarded D. Litt. (Honorary Doctorate) by the University of South America. She is empanelled as the Accredited Trainer of IMG in the areas of Gender and Women Empowerment. She has been awarded the prestigious K N Raj Fellowship for college teachers by the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvanathapuram. She has completed a major World Bank sponsored project as part of Kerala Local Governments Service Delivery project executed through Gulathi Institute of Finance and Taxation (GIFT). She is also an external resource person of KILA (Kerala Institute of Local Administration) in the area of Gender. She has edited two books on Kerala Economy and her areas of specialization include Gender Economics, Micro Economics and Econometrics.
