Dr. Anita Teli is an accomplished Associate Professor and Lifestyle Medicine Physician at BLDE (Deemed-to-be-University), Shri B.M. Patil Medical College, Hospital, and Research Center, Karnataka, India. She spearheads the Lifestyle Medicine Clinic at the institution, providing holistic care through evidence-based preventive strategies. Dr. Teli completed her MBBS (2006) and MD in Physiology (2012). Further strengthening her expertise, she earned a PG Diploma in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics from Apollo Hospitals (2018), Advance Course in Medical Education (2019) and achieved Lifestyle Medicine Core Accreditation from the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (2023). With 12 years of teaching experience, Dr. Teli is a distinguished UG and PG guide. She has 30 peer-reviewed publications, focusing on cardiorespiratory physiology and preventive care. A sought-after speaker, she has delivered over 25 Invited lectures globally, including at prestigious forums like the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the Physiological Society of India. Her accolades include multiple Best Paper Awards, four copyrights, and her election as Director of Alliance, Advocacy, and Membership of the Indian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (2024–2026). Dr Lata Mullur

Dr Lata. Mullur completed MBBS from Karnataka University, Dharwad and MD from RGUHS, Bangalore. She was awarded PhD (Medical Physiology) from BLDE (Deemed to be University) in September 2019. Presently she is a Professor of Physiology at Shri. B.M.Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, BLDE (Deemed to be University) Vijayapura, Karnataka (India) and Director/Coordinator, IQAC, BLDE (DU). Dr.Lata is passionately involved in medical education programs and also completed MCI recommended Advance Course in Medical Education (ACME). Her area of research interest is cardiovascular pathophysiology especially oxygen sensing molecules on vascular cell signal transduction in relation to micronutrients. She has more than 35 research publication in National and International journals indexed in PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science in her credit which also includes book chapter published by Elsevier. She has also presented numerous research papers in national and international conferences and symposium. Reviewer for various national and international journals and editorial board member of BJHS, IJPAS and Journal of University College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore. Her research contributions brought her many laurels including “Research Day Gold Medal”, ‘Senior Scientist Award’, ‘Women Researcher Award’, ‘Best First Paper award’, ‘Best Teacher Award’ and Prof. B. B. Shankar Memorial Oration award. Presently, Dr Lata is Vice-President of The Physiological Society of India (PSI).
