Human beings are blessed with five special senses and vision is most precious. Because vision impairment is a common and inevitable debility among the aged, it is greatest fear of the old age. As per World Health Organization's report “Global Data on Visual Impairments 2010”, about 80% of visual impairment including blindness is preventable, out of which 33% is due to cataract.1 Among the risk factors for cataract, tobacco is one of the modifiable risk factors.2

He is also laboratory Director of NABL accredited laboratory (KIMS Diagnostics, Karad). He has been teacher in various medical colleges with vast medical teaching experience since 1977. He is a recognized guide for M.D. and Ph D students.
