Hippocrates (460-370 B.C), a physician has first described the word Cancer. It was coming from the Greek word Karkinos. [ 1 ] Human bone cancer was found in the mummies in ancient Egypt, and some ancient Manuscripts also talked about it about 1600 B.C.The world’s oldest cancer records were found as breast cancer in Egypt in 1500 B.C., and it was also found that there was no treatment for cancer. Only palliative treatment was available [2].H. Scherf, et al.[3]in the year 2015 has revealed the oldest known case of cancer in humans. Up to 1960, Surgery and radiotherapy ruled the field of cancer therapy, and it became clear that cure rates of radical local treatments were about 33% due to the presence of heretofore unappreciated micrometastases. Today combination chemotherapy could cure patients with various cancers at an advanced stage. June Goodfield,[5] a British historian, has said on this content: “Cancer begins and ends with people. Amid scientific abstraction, it is sometimes possible to forget this one basic fact. Doctors treat diseases, but they also treat people, and this precondition of their professional existence sometimes pulls them in two directions at once.”
