The global COVID-19 pandemic has spread across the world and
caused mass illnesses and deaths. According to the World Health
Organization (WHO) COVID-19 Weekly Epidemiological Update on 10
August 2021, there were 78,619,744 cumulative infection cases and
2,030,101 cumulative deaths caused by COVID-19 (WHO, 2021: online).
At the same time the emergence of disruptive innovation has caused
various disruptive changes that affect the daily living of people in
many ways, both in the private and public sectors. Many products and
ways of work and production have been replaced by new working
methods and new skill sets are required. In addition, many countries
have become aging societies, where people live longer and work
longer, requiring special healthcare, re-skilling and up-skilling to be
able to cope with the rapid disruptive changes that have occurred
