Enhancing the quality of education is a continuous process, which must take into account the needs of the students. In the knowledge era, students should develop their intellectual skills for a higher order of thinking and be adaptable to changing environment. In this situation, the roles and responsibilities of teachers becomes the prime importance which will contribute towards the enhancement of Quality of Education. Though, there are many factors contributing to education, 'Quality of Teachers' is a factor which always remains constant. It emphasizes the fact that any improvement in the field of education will not be successful unless teacher's quality is improved. According to Thomas Carroll,“We need a continuous process of development for teachers in schools so that each teacher becomes as effective as possible.” Here, we must analyse what should be the qualities of a good teacher. The aim of teaching is to make student's learn and understand the concepts and to make the learning possible. Therefore, a good teacher is one who analyses about what and how the student learns i.e. a good teacher must learn about student's learning and the environment in which students learn effectively.
