Ransomware is a term used to describe a class of malware to digitally extort victims into payment of specific fee, Ransomware is a type of Trojan. This virus is often disguised as legitimate software. Once virus is activated on victim system it can be enabled to spy on victim systems. Ransom can delete, modifying, copying and disrupting data on victim’s system. Ransom can attack on different platform like windows, android, Linux, mac etc. It started to spread in 1989. And since then, it has been present till now but has changed significantly since then till date.

Dr. Amol Prakash Bhagat

Dr. Amol P. Bhagat was born in Amravati India, in 1984. He received BE degree in information technology from Government College of Engineering Amravati, in 2005, M. Tech. degree in computer science and engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, in 2009, and PhD in information technology from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, in 2016. He is member of IETE, New Delhi. He is presently working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Prof Ram Meghe College of Engineering & Management, Badnera, since December 2010. He is Programme Coordinator for Department of Science and Technology funded Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Manager for MSME Business Incubator since 2018. His research interests include image retrieval, image processing and enhancement, soft computing, data science, network security and distributed computing. Rohit Ravinath Bhange

Rohit Bhange, was born in Nagpur India, in 1994. He received BE and ME degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Prof Ram Meghe College of Engineering & Management, Badnera, Amravati, in 2016 and 2021. He has worked as Security Researcher at Quick Heal Technologies from 2016 to 2019, Malware Researcher at Mindtree limited from 2019 to 2020. He is presently working as Threat Researcher at Sonicwall Pvt Ltd since 2020.
