quality and reproducible results in biotechnology and molecular
biology experiments. The first and foremost prerequisite is safety of
the researcher and the laboratory. Safety is the responsibility of the
individual and the researcher must be aware of the safety
requirements before proceeding with experiments. Prior to perform
experiments researcher should be alert, cautious and disciplined at
work place to avoid accidents. Good laboratory practice is defined in
the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development
(OECD) principles as “a quality system concerned with the
