The project, “Preventive Cardiology-A community medicine perspective” was envisaged in 2017. With years of changes in the concept of preventive medicine and upcoming guidelines, new knowledge, revolutions in preventive medicine, we made an effort to compile all the latest and available information. We have supported some units with many examples and anecdotes to make this endeavour easy to internalize and assimilate. As is said, read within the lines and between the lines: The book can be studied by both consultants and students in the field, cardiologists and paramedical people involved in cardiac preventive management. It is a guidebook supplemented with questions for UG/PG students helping them to conceptualize this interesting subject. At JNUIMSRC, Jaipur, our eminent faculty sought to materialize the 2017 goals set and here we have this book to supplement electives for UG MBBS students also. We are enthusiastic about this book hoping our readers appreciate it.
