Dr. Suguna Dumpala

Dr Suguna Dumpala MD, MPH, is a Professor of Social and Preventative Medicine, Epidemiologist and an Obstetrician and Gynecologist by training. She is currently actively involved in teaching and training Post- Graduates and Medical Students. She has a lifetime experience of carrying out public health projects especially in developing and under-developed countries. She has pioneered several projects of vast diversity in India including Oral rehydration therapy, Polio eradication, Tuberculosis, Maternal care etc. to name a few. She has also been involved in epidemiological endeavors with the WHO in countries like Bangladesh, Philippines, Vietnam, and Ghana. She has published widely in several renowned journals and has also been awarded the best Paper award by the Sri Venkateshwara University, Andhra Pradesh state, Telangana and as Best District award during her tenure as District Medical Ofcer, Nizamabad district, Telangana state by State Government. She was also awarded a W.H.O Fellowship twice and Netherlands Fellowship once. This book will be her rst book of publication and hence dear to her heart. COVID19 pandemic was a once in a lifetime experience for the entire world and given her passion for Public Health. She could not help but author this book.
