Life Time And Qos Improvement Of Wireless Network Using Swarm Intelligence

Life Time And Qos Improvement Of Wireless Network Using Swarm Intelligence

Authors: Dr.Premala Bhande, Dr.Mohammed Bakhar,
Format: Paperback | Genre : Information Technology | Other Book Detail

Mobile Nodes create an autonomous network called MANET. Since there is no infrastructure for connectivity in MANET, the topology is uncontrolled. Due to topology changes network gets partitioned and routing gets affected. Due to lack of infrastructure energy consumption during routing increases and attack resiliency against various cross layer attacks becomes a challenge in MANET. Cross layer attacks propagate from MAC layer to routing layer. By using the inherent weakness in network layer, a cross layer attacker gets included in the route and can selectively drop the MAC packets. Many works have been proposed to solve the cross-layer attacks in MANET but most of those works ignored Quality of Service (QoS) optimization. This research work is to address the joint problem of QoS optimization and resiliency against cross layer attacks.
