About 70,000 billion cells are present in each human body.
The cell consists of a cytoplasm with its multitude of
organelles and the nucleus with its chromosomes and
nucleolus. The normal cells usually contain a single
nucleus with a definitive relationship with the volume of
the cytoplasm. But in some situations the cells show more
than one nucleus eg, skeletal muscle, cells of placenta and
bone cells which occur in normal physiologic processes of
human life.2
