Definition of soil testing:- "A method of measuring the pH of soil and the nutrient found
in the soil. A study of soil profile supplemented by physical chemical and biological
properties of the soil will give full picture of soil fertility and productivity.

"In agriculture a soil test is the analysis of a soil sample to determine nutrient and
contaminated content, composition and other characteristics such as the acidity or pH
level.
