This book devotes towards the physical realisation of prototype Design, Fabrication, Testing and control of prototype single phase Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC), Prototype working model of single phase TCSC being designed and fabricated in the laboratory. Single Machine Three Bus Test System (SMTB) is developed in the laboratory and it is tested without and with TCSC. Test results demonstrates the effectiveness of the TCSC on system stability [9] to [16].

Venu Yarlagadda is obtained his M.Tech and Ph.D Degrees in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2015 from JNTU, Hyderabad, Telangana. He has Published ten Springer book chapters, four IEEE Papers, one book with LAP and about twenty International Journals and conferences and one published one patent. His areas of Interest are Flexible A.C Transmission Systems, Power Quality, Power System Analysis and Deregulation, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and other Modern methods of optimization applications to Electrical Engineering.

Dr.A.Giriprasad received the B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from V.R. Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, AP, India in 2000 , the M.Tech power systems from JNT University Hyderabad, AP, India in 2005 and Ph.D from JNTUH University Hyderabad, AP, India in 2019. He has 21 Years of teaching experience. He worked as Assistant professor and HOD of EEE department for 5 years at Joginpally.B.R Engineering college. He worked as Associate Professor and HOD in EEE Department, St. Peter's Engineering College, Hyderabad for 10 years. He has been working as an Assistant professor in EEE department, VNR VJIET since 2017. He has published 22 papers in international journals, 13 papers international conference, 3 papers in National journals, 3 papers National conference papers. He did a project on Network analyzer from AICTE of worth 23 lakhs. He published 3 Book chapters. He published 2 books. He guided 20 B.Tech, 12 M.Tech Scholars and presently guiding 1 M.Tech. Scholar. He is member of IEEE and lifetime member of ISTE, MIE, IAENG, IFERP. He conducted many conferences, guest lectures, workshops, FDP's and industrial visits. His areas of interest are Gas Insulated Substations, Power Systems, Smart Grid, Electric vehicles, and Electromagnetic Fields.

Dr. D. Ravi Kumar completed his B.Tech in EEE in 2006 and M. Tech in Power Systems from J.N.T.U, Hyderabad in 2008 and Ph. D in Electrical Engineering from JNTU Anantapur in 2017. He has 13 Years of teaching experience. He has published 25 research papers in various International, National Journals and Conferences. He visited Singapore and presented a paper in IEEE International Conference ICBEST-2015 at CREATE, Singapore. Some of his papers are Indexed by Scopus and Web of Science.

Dr.E.Shiva Prasad Received the B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SSIET, Nuzvid, AP, India in 2005and the M.Tech Power Electronics from JNT University Hyderabad, AP, India in 2007.He has 13 Years of teaching experience. He has been working as Assistant Professor in EEE Department, VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad since 2010. He has published 16 research papers in national and international conferences and journals. He guided 10 M.Tech Scholars. His areas of interest are Power Electronics and Drives Applications of Power Electronics to Power systems.

Lakshminarayana Gadupudi currently working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. He completed M.E. (Industrial Electronics) form The Maharaja Sayajirao University Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat in 2008 and Pursuing Ph.D. from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He guided and presently guiding M.Tech Scholars and B.Tech projects. He has more than 15 SCI, Scopus Indexed Journals and Book Series. He is life number in ISTE and IAENG societies. His research interest includes Power Quality and Voltage Stability Improvements, FACTS, Power Electronics, HVDC, Renewable Source based Electric Vehicles and Mezzanine Technologies.
