Format: Paperback | Genre : Medical Science | Other Book Detail

Microorganisms are too small to be seen by our unaided eyes, and the microscopes are of crucial importance as they help to view these microorganisms. A microscope word is originated from Ancient Greek μικρός (mikrós) – meaning ‘small’, and σκοπέω (skopéō)-meaning ‹to look (at)›. Microscope refers to an optical instrument that is used to observe very small objects (1 –micron size). The objective of a microscope is to produce a better, magnified image of a microscopic sample without degrading the image quality. [1] Humans can see objects about 0.1 mm in size, while in optical microscopes, 1-micron sized objects can be visualized. EM (electron microscope) can be used to observe 1-nanometer sized objects
