Dr. T. Parthasarathy
Prof. T. Parthasarathy is a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Osmania University since 2006. His research interests include Molecular Modeling and Drug Design with special reference to Virtual Screening, Docking, Homology, ADMET, Molecular Dynamics, QSAR, Semiemperical Methods – AM1 and PM3, In vitro Spectrophotometric Antioxidant Study, Synthesis, Spectroscopic, Thermodynamic Studies and Catalytic Activity of Charge Transfer Complexes and DFT Computational Studies. Twenty-two students were awarded Ph. D degree under his guidance. He has completed three UGC Projects. He has attended 54 National, International Conferences and was adjudged Best Research Paper on three occasions. He has published 81 research papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals and 4 books. He is the member, Editorial Board, Journal of Medicines Development Sciences, Singapore.
Prof. T. Parthasarathy has reviewed several research articles and journals viz., J. of Solution Chemistry, J. of Physical Organic Chemistry, J. of Chemical Education, USA, Indian J. of Chemistry, International Journal of Chemical Kinetics, Medicinal Chemistry Research and Chemical Science Transactions. He is the member of prestigious professional bodies such as American Chemical Society, Indian Science Congress and Indian Association of Chemistry Teachers. He has delivered many invited lectures in National and International Conferences. He presented research papers in American Chemical Society, USA twice. He is a resource person for designing curriculum for UG and PG programmes in the field of Physical Chemistry and Molecular Modelling. He was convener for two National Conferences. He was principal for University College of Science. Under his chairmanship one International, six National conferences, three Workshops, one INSPIRE program and a Science fair were organized. He was awarded Bharat Vidya Siromani Award-2011 by the Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi and Eminent Educationist Award-2011 by the International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi. He worked as Director, Research Development & Consultancy Cell. He retired as Dean, Development & UGC Affairs.
