Dr. Jaya Madhuri Ravuri, Associate Professor-joined in the Department of Applied Microbiology, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati in 2006 and gained 15 yrs of teaching experience and 12yrs of research experience. She has continued her research career in the field of green technology focussing mainly on biodegradation studies of xenobiotics like plastics, polythene,azo dyes, pesticides in soil environment etc. Her second area of interest is in the field of”Biopharamaceuticals” One patent was published in this area. Related to this, she has completed one UGC Major Research Project on “Bioplastic (Polyhydroxy butyrate0 production from marine environment and DST CURIE SPMVV Minor project. Under her guidance, 7 Ph.Ds and two PDFs were awarded . Sixty research papers of national and international repute were published. She has written 13 book chapters and 5 books She has presented her research findings in 50 national seminars and 10 international conferences at Malaysia, Thailand and Dubai She has been awarded AP Academy of Sciences Associate Fellow for her research contribution in the field of Applied Sciences in 2019.and also honoured with Women Researcher, and Fellow member awards recently She has been actively involved in various academic committees like IQAC, International Relations and admissions of SPMVV. Recgnizing her social responsibility, AP State Best NSS Programme Officer award has been awarded.
