Invasive Carcinoma of cervix is one of the rarest malignancy during pregnancy with

incidence of 1in 1200 to 10000 . It is more common in developing countries. Risk
factor contributing are smoking, early age at rst intercourse, multiple sexual partners,
immuno compromised condition like infection, HIV, HPV infection (types-

16,18,45,56) and following transplant surgeries. Though there are no specic
symptoms to identify occurrence of cancer cervix in pregnancy, high degree of clinical
suspicion is required with history of recurrent purulent vaginal discharge and bleeding
due to increased vascularity and edema. Primary prevention, early detection and
prompt interventions are important for improvement in disease free survival rate.
Treatment during pregnancy is tailored according to the gestational age, stage of
tumor, wishes of couple and the performance score of the women.
