Dr. Priyanka Shankarishan

Dr. Priyanka Shankarishan, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Biology, School of Biological Sciences, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has completed her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), N.E. Region, Dibrugarh, registered under Gauhati University. She has been awarded the “ICMR Senior Research Fellowship” awarded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, India in 2008. Dr. Shankarishan has completed her Post Graduation in Biotechnology from Gauhati University. She has more than 15 nos of research publications in both national and international journals of repute and has presented several papers at international conferences. Dr. Shankarishan has 1 Patent, 13 Book Chapters, 2 Books, and 2 Young Researcher Awards to her credit.

Citrus Technology specialist Dr. Sony Kumari, Ph.D. in Citrus Nutraceuticals and Molecular Biology, is presently associated with the Department of Applied Biology at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya. She holds a B.S. in Zoology from Gauhati University's Cotton College, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the same institution, and a Ph.D. in Plant Science from Assam's Gauhati University. She is a member of numerous national and international research societies.
