Aging is described as a biologically predetermined and
environmentally modulated phase or it is merely getting older. Aging
is characterized by longitudinal process in terms of physiological, such
as a reduction in the number of tissue that comprise the body and a
gradual loss of physical adaptability, which leads to death.(1) Through
older phase, increased stress, lowered hormone production, and
reduced metabolic rate could lead to body cells catabolism and
degenerative changes.(2) Reduced bone mass, skeletal muscle mass,
endurance and gesture coordination via the sensory and vestibular
cortex, all such processes result in a neuronal decrease of nerve
extensions, These impairments may result in a loss of balance and poor
gait in the elderly population.(3)(4) Frailty and sarcopenia are more
common in the elderly. It is possible in people over the age of 65 impact
on personal ability to carry out daily activities (ADL), and increase risk of
falling. (5)
