Findings: MRI Brain coronal FLAIR image reveals heterogeneous lesion in right temporal lobe with hyperintense rim separating the lesion from surrounding normal parenchyma. This is referred to the “bright rim sign”. No obvious mass effect is seen. It is seen in the DNET (Dysembryoplastic Neuroepithelial tumor). Discussion: DNET are most commonly located in the temporal regions. Diagnosis of DNET is made on basis of history of partial seizures particularly before 20 years of age and is usually associated with no neurological deficit. These tumors are cortical based lesions without significant mass effect and peritumoral edema. Other radiological features comprise wedge like shape with internal septations, absence of calcifications, no appreciable post contrast enhancement and infrequently scalloping of overlying calvarium.
