World is rapidly changing and greying at a very rapid phase. The people aged 65 and plus is raising to 2 billion by the mid of the century. Countries like Japan, China, Korea and even the Europeans exhibit a relatively huge spike in the aging population. The U.S population is comparatively lower in getting older, with respect to other countries. The scenario in countries like India is also not different. Dr. Sithara Balan V An Asst Prof in Home Science Extension with a PhD on Quality of Life of Elderly in Kerala, with 14 years of teaching and research e x p e r i e n c e . Cu r r e n t l y wo r k i n g a t G o v t Co l l e g e f o r Wome n , Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, also serving as Research Supervisor to University of Kerala. Ageing research is one among her areas of interest and has done several studies and interventions on improving the quality of the older adults in Kerala. She’s also the recipient of International Internship by FLAIR, Govt of Kerala for collaborating with the University of Southampton, UK and Higher Education Academy, York, UK. Dr Balan has also developed and popularized a budget friendly nutritional kit for the older adults below poverty line. She is also a Gender trainer and a Behavior Change Communication specialist.

Dr. Garima Gupta

Dr. Garima Gupta is an education consultant and academic writer. She provides mentoring to the UGC NET Aspirant in Home Science. She has been working as ‘Guest Faculty’ in various colleges since 2012. She is currently affiliated with University Department of Extension & Communication, S.N.D.T.W.U. Mumbai, Anjuman-I-Islams, Begum Jamila Haji Abdul Haq College of Home Science, Mumbai, Government College for Women, Trivandrum & SVT College of Home Science,Mumbai. She has worked in multidisciplinary research projects. She has been writing chapters for various academic books and e-modules for E-PG Pathshala. She is member of the International Association for Media and Communication Research, Nutrition Society of India, Home Science Association of India, and Council of Home Science Extension. She has been actively published and presented her research work in various national and international platforms.
