A Study Of Hepatitis B Virus Genotype And It's Association With Severity Of Liver Disease
Hepatitis B Virus is a double stranded DNA virus of the Hepadnaviridae
family. Complete infectious virion is a 42 nm, double-shelled particle,
originally called the Dane particle that consists of a 7 nm thick outer
shell and a 27 nm inner core which is known as HBcAg (hepatitis B core
antigen). The core contains a small, circular, partially double-stranded
DNA molecule and an endogenous DNA polymerase. This is the
prototype agent for the family Hepadnaviridae.
