Mr. Rashid Imran Ahmad Khan

Mr. Rashid Imran Ahmad Khan, an accomplished academician and researcher, holds B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees from the Departments of Petroleum Studies and Chemical Engineering, respectively. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Department of Chemical Engineering, NIT Durgapur. With over a decade of experience in teaching and research in food technology, his professional journey also includes three years in industry, serving as Design Engineer at Reda Trading and Development, Saudi Arabia; Technical Manager at Neelansh Fire Protection Systems; and Program Leader at Yushiro India Private Limited, focusing on advanced firefighting solutions. As an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Mr. Khan has published seven high-impact journal articles and presented 20 conference papers. He has mentored nearly 100 student projects, specializing in Biofuels, Unit Operations in Food Industries, Dairy Technology, Food Quality Control, Livestock and Marine Products Processing, and Food Packaging. In his role as Training and Placement Officer, he actively fosters student placements and industry-academia collaborations.

Ms. Sadaf Ahmad, a venerable figure in academia, serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University. She attained her B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering and subsequently her M.Tech. in Agricultural Processes and Food Engineering, both from Aligarh Muslim University, and is currently advancing her doctoral pursuits at the Department of Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology, A.M.U., Aligarh. With an academic odyssey spanning 18 years, Ms. Ahmad has demonstrated exceptional acumen by supervising approximately 150 student research projects, authoring 10 articles in esteemed national and international journals, and delivering 40 conference presentations. A trusted member of reviewer boards for prestigious journals, she has also disseminated her expertise through specialized lectures on critical topics, including “Pollution Control in Food Industries” and “Waste Management Strategies in Food Industries.” Her indelible contributions to departmental infrastructure include the establishment of state-of-the-art laboratories, while her scholarly expertise encompasses Bakery Technology, Fruits and Vegetables Processing, Unit Operations in Food Industries, Food Chemistry & Microbiology, Food Quality Control, and Food Packaging. Beyond her academic contributions, she diligently oversees vital administrative responsibilities within her department.

Prof. Gopinath Halder

Prof. Gopinath Halder

Dr. Gopinath Halder received his B.E degree in Chemical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Durgapur under Burdwan University, West Bengal and obtained his M.Tech and Ph.D degree in Chemical engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Currently he is professor of Chemical Engineering Department in National Institute of Technology Durgapur, West Bengal. He has got more than 21 years of teaching and 19 years of research experience. His areas of interests are Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Chemical reaction engineering, Heat transfer and environmental Engineering. He has authored the text book entitled ‘Introduction to Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics’ published by Prentice-Hall of India, New Delhi. Prof. Halder has published more than 200 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals of repute. He received ‘Fast Track Young Scientist Project Award’ from Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in 2009. He is ranked under top 2% scientists in the world reported by Elsevier and Stanford University, California, USA since 2021. Prof. Halder has produced 17 PhD scholars and carried out 11 sponsored projects of India. He is a member of many learned societies such as American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IICHE), Indian Cryogenic Council (ICC), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Institution of Engineers.
