reaching an historical high of 8.6 percent in 1994 and a record low of 3.6
percent in 1993.The trend of the annual average growth of GDP was
declining over the subsequent period. The average annual growth rate of
GDP was 4.1 percent in 2000-2009 reaching an historical high of 6.1
percent in 2001 and a record low of 0.1 percent in 2002. In the period 2010-
2017, the annual average growth rate of GDP was 4.2 percent, a slight or
marginal increase by 0.1 percentage point over the previous period
reaching an historical high of 4.8 percent in 2012 and a record low of 0.4
percent in 2016 (Figure 1.2).
