The phenomenon of migration is as old as human history itself. Earlier it was limited but it increased significantly with the industrial revolution. At the beginning of 21st century, migration has emerged as one of the key issue of the age because there is direct link between rate of migration and rate of development. In many developing countries like India, unbalanced regional development and unbalanced investment on men and materials lead to out-migration. People from economically underdeveloped area migrate towards the economically developed area. Besides, Constitution of India has also given right to Indian citizens to move to any part, province or state of the country and to settle there without any restriction which further inspires population to migrate from one area to another.
