Financial Inclusion of Street Vendors
An overwhelming 92 per cent of the Indian labour force is engaged in
the informal sector. In the past few decades only, informal sector is the
one sector that has witnessed rise in the employment in almost all
parts of the world. The activities in almost every corner of the world
that is associated with informal sector is unprotected, unorganized
and undocumented by public laws and authorities. The activities
observed by this informal sector are neither protected nor promoted.
The fact arises from the situation that these jobs or the labour force
opting for these jobs are not absorbed effectively in the economic
development.
